For over thirty-seven years, Village Academy, a pre-kindergarten through grade 12 college preparatory school, has offered gifted and talented students the opportunity to pursue their passions and interests in an engaging and challenging educational environment. The same mission and philosophy instituted when the School was founded, continue to guide Village Academy today.
Formerly a part of the Learning Unlimited International Schools System founded in 1976, Village Academy opened its current campus in Powell, Ohio in 1990. The Arts Conservatory was developed based on the student-driven need for a dedicated space for visual and performing arts and opened in 2003. The 2012 grand opening of Griffin Hall, the Pre-Kindergarten facility specifically designed for children ages 2½ to 5 years, enables all students from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12 to take advantage of the many amenities of the main campus.
The rigorous academic core of the Village Academy program, focused on the Advancement through Mastery approach to education, is balanced with opportunities to participate in a variety of electives, special interest courses, athletics, clubs and organizations, and extracurricular activities. The Advancement through Mastery approach challenges each student individually based on his or her strengths.
The faculty and administration at Village Academy are experts in their fields and committed to helping each student achieve their highest levels of success academically, athletically, socially, and culturally. Faculty members, recruited from around the world, also offer students a unique global perspective resulting in well-prepared students who are ready for the scope of challenges presented in higher education and the world.
